Amir of Qatar Meets with Spanish Prime Minister
Doha, The Gulf Observer: Amir of Qatar HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani held a meeting with the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Spain, HE Dr. Pedro Sanchez, at his office in Lusail Palace on Wednesday.
The meeting served as a platform to reinforce the enduring bonds of friendship and cooperation between Qatar and Spain, while also delving into discussions on various regional and international developments. Of particular focus were the developments unfolding in the occupied Palestinian territories and the Gaza Strip.
During the deliberations, HH the Amir and HE the Prime Minister underscored the imperative of concerted efforts to de-escalate tensions and shield civilians from the ramifications of the ongoing conflict. They emphasized the importance of establishing safe corridors in Gaza to facilitate relief and humanitarian operations, while staunchly advocating for the containment of violence to prevent any regional spillover.
The gathering was attended by esteemed dignitaries including Chief of the Amiri Diwan HE Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani and Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs HE Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al Khulaifi, alongside other senior officials representing Qatar.
From Spain’s delegation, the meeting witnessed the presence of Secretary of State for Economic Affairs and G20 Manuel de la Rocha, Secretary General of Foreign Affairs Emma Aparici, and several other high-ranking officials.
