Araghchi Meets Iraqi National Security Advisor to Discuss Regional Security Cooperation

Tehran, The Gulf Observer: Iraq’s National Security Advisor Qasim al-Araji met with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi in Tehran on Monday to discuss bilateral relations and regional security developments.
Earlier in the day, al-Araji also held a meeting with Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Ali Larijani.
Speaking at a joint press conference with Larijani following their talks, al-Araji reaffirmed that Baghdad remains committed to ensuring that Iraq’s territory and airspace are not used for any hostile actions against Iran.
He emphasized that Iraq had consistently conveyed this stance, reflecting the government’s firm position on maintaining good-neighborly relations and preventing external interference.
Al-Araji added that both sides exchanged views on ways to strengthen regional stability and underscored the importance of preventing “certain parties” from undermining peace and security in the region.
