Anwar Ibrahim Praises Pakistan’s Diplomatic Leadership, Commends Shehbaz Sharif’s Role in Advancing Dialogue and Global Solidarity

Kuala Lumpur, The Gulf Observer: Prime Minister of Malaysia Anwar Ibrahim has warmly welcomed the latest developments in the ongoing US-Iran conflict, particularly the progress surrounding a ten-point peace plan proposed by Iran and positively received by the United States.
In an official statement, Prime Minister Anwar described the proposal as a promising step toward restoring peace and stability in the Middle East and beyond. He expressed hope that the negotiation process would be carried out in good faith, emphasizing that meaningful peace cannot be achieved through “deception and double-dealing.”
The Malaysian leader stressed the importance of translating the ten-point plan into a comprehensive and sustainable peace agreement, not only for Iran but also for other conflict-affected countries, including Iraq, Lebanon, and Yemen. He further underscored the urgent need to end the suffering of the Palestinian people, particularly in Gaza, calling for an end to what he described as genocide and dispossession.
Prime Minister Anwar extended his sincere appreciation to Pakistan and its leadership, particularly Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, for their “tireless and courageous diplomacy” in facilitating dialogue among all parties. He noted that Pakistan’s balanced and inclusive approach reflects a strong commitment to Muslim solidarity and global responsibility.
Reaffirming Malaysia’s support, Anwar Ibrahim stated that his country stands ready to assist and complement all international efforts aimed at achieving lasting peace in the region. He also called upon the international community to ensure unhindered humanitarian access to civilians affected by the conflict.
Concluding his remarks, the Malaysian Prime Minister expressed hope that the current developments would mark a decisive turning point toward enduring peace, warning that the world cannot afford a failure in these efforts.
