Austria and Czechia Reaffirm United Support for Ukraine and Common Stance on Migration

Prague, The Gulf Observer: Austria and Czechia are closely aligned in their unwavering support for Ukraine and share common positions on key migration issues, according to statements made by Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavský and Austria’s newly appointed Foreign Minister Beate Meinl-Reisinger during a joint press conference in Prague on Monday.
Minister Lipavský welcomed his Austrian counterpart and emphasized the unity between the two countries in facing regional and global challenges. “Austria and Czechia are united not only in supporting Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, but also in addressing pressing issues such as migration in a coordinated and principled manner,” he said.
Foreign Minister Meinl-Reisinger echoed these sentiments, underlining the importance of standing firm against Russian aggression. “Austria and Czechia are following a clear line. We want a just and lasting peace—one that is not at the expense of Ukraine and Europe,” she stated. She further emphasized the need for increased pressure on Russia to bring about a resolution that respects international law and European security.
The meeting highlighted the continued cooperation between the two neighboring countries within the broader European framework, reinforcing their shared commitment to stability, peace, and democratic values in the region.
