Ayatollah Khamenei: Israeli Regime is the Only Proxy Force in the Region and Will Be Rooted Out
Tehran, The Gulf Observer: Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has declared that Israel is the sole proxy force in the region, operating on behalf of colonialist powers, and will ultimately be eradicated from Palestine.
Delivering a sermon after Eid al-Fitr prayers at the Grand Prayer Grounds in Tehran, Ayatollah Khamenei condemned Israeli aggression against the people of Palestine and Lebanon, stating that these atrocities deeply saddened Muslims during the holy month of Ramadan.
He criticized Western governments for labeling the region’s “brave nations and proud youth” as proxy forces while ignoring the fact that Israel itself is acting as a proxy for colonialist forces, violating the sovereignty and territories of other nations.
“The Zionist regime, as a proxy of the colonizers, incites fire, commits genocide, and perpetrates crimes, and if it gets the chance, it violates [the territories of] other countries, just as it is violating Syria’s today,” he stated.
Ayatollah Khamenei also highlighted the role of Western financial and media institutions in whitewashing Israeli acts of terrorism, while simultaneously branding those who defend their land and rights as “terrorists.”
“If others defend their rights or their land, they are labeled ‘terrorists;’ yet, [it is] the wicked Zionist regime [that] overtly commits genocide, murders children, targets the general population, assassinates individuals, and even openly declares that it has carried out these actions,” he asserted.
He noted the growing global awareness, particularly in Europe and the United States, regarding Israel’s atrocities. He expressed confidence that if people worldwide became more aware of the full extent of Israeli crimes, they would voice even stronger opposition.
The Leader also condemned the Israeli regime’s routine practice of assassinating figures, emphasizing that it operates with the support of the United States and other Western governments.
“This depraved, wicked, and murderous band must be rooted out from Palestine — and by God’s grace, it will be,” he proclaimed.
Ayatollah Khamenei further warned against threats posed by the United States and Israel against Iran, stating that any such hostile action would be met with a decisive and powerful response.
Eid al-Fitr, one of the most significant Islamic holidays, marks the conclusion of the month of Ramadan, during which Muslims observe fasting from dawn to sunset.
