Iran Appreciates Turkmenistan’s Humanitarian Aid for Children, FM Araghchi Thanks Ashgabat

Tehran, The Gulf Observer: Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi on Monday expressed gratitude to Turkmenistan for its humanitarian assistance during a telephone conversation with Turkmen Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov, highlighting the gesture as a reflection of goodwill and humanitarian solidarity.
According to Turkmenistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the aid was dispatched to children in Iran on behalf of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Care. The support package included medicines, medical supplies, and other essential items.
At the outset of the call, the two sides exchanged warm greetings on the occasion of the Novruz holiday and conveyed their best wishes for prosperity and well-being to the peoples of both countries.
The humanitarian initiative follows a decree signed in mid-March by Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, authorizing the delivery of assistance to the Iranian people, particularly children. Officials noted that the aid underscores the friendly and brotherly relations between Iran and Turkmenistan.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening bilateral cooperation and maintaining close coordination on humanitarian and regional matters.
