Azerbaijan and Pakistan Strengthen Defense Ties at IDEAS 2024
Karachi, The Gulf Observer: Colonel General Karim Valiyev, First Deputy Minister of Defense and Chief of the General Staff of the Azerbaijan Army, is continuing his working visit to Pakistan as part of his participation in the 12th International Defence Exhibition and Seminar (IDEAS 2024).
As part of his visit, Colonel General Valiyev held discussions with General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, Chairman of Pakistan’s Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, according to a statement from Azerbaijan’s Defense Ministry.
The meeting underscored the robust and fraternal ties between Azerbaijan and Pakistan in the military domain. Both sides reviewed the current state of military relations and explored potential avenues for expanded cooperation.
Highlighting the progress of their strategic partnership, the officials emphasized the importance of ongoing dialogues in strengthening bilateral ties. The discussions also included an exchange of views on issues of mutual interest, reflecting the shared commitment to advancing their collaboration in defense and security.
