Azerbaijan Has Reached Unprecedented Strength in Its Centuries-Long Statehood History: President Aliyev
Baku, The Gulf Observer: President Ilham Aliyev has emphasized the importance of developing comprehensive academic research on the history of the independent Azerbaijani state, underscoring the nation’s unprecedented strength and progress in its modern era of sovereignty.
Speaking at a conference marking the 80th anniversary of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), the President stated, “There is a great need for substantial scholarly works on the history of the independent Azerbaijani state as a whole.”
President Aliyev noted that over the past three decades, Azerbaijan has made remarkable strides as a sovereign nation. “For more than 30 years now, we have been living as an independent state, and in the centuries-long statehood history of the Azerbaijani people, Azerbaijan has never been as strong as it is today,” he said.
He further stressed the need for extensive studies and publications that explore and promote the history of modern, independent Azerbaijan, reflecting its achievements and contributions to national and global development.
