Azerbaijan, Pakistan Strengthen Ties in Meeting Between FM Bayramov and Ombudsman Qureshi

Baku, The Gulf Observer: On 13 November 2025, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov held a meeting with the visiting Federal Ombudsman of Pakistan and President of the Asian Ombudsman Association (AOA), Ejaz Ahmad Qureshi, to discuss the development of bilateral relations and areas of mutual cooperation.
During the meeting, both parties praised the dynamic growth of Azerbaijani-Pakistani ties, rooted in friendship and brotherhood, and underscored the pivotal role of high-level contacts between the two countries’ leaders in strengthening their strategic partnership.
FM Bayramov highlighted several key meetings over the past year, including the trilateral summit of Azerbaijan, Pakistan, and Türkiye held in Lachin in May, as well as the participation of the Pakistani Prime Minister in the military parade marking the 5th anniversary of November 8 — Victory Day.
The ministers also noted the expanding economic cooperation and mutual investments between Azerbaijan and Pakistan, which contribute positively to the broader development of bilateral relations. Cooperation between the ombudsmen’s offices of the two countries was recognized as a further mechanism for deepening and broadening ties.
Both sides applauded coordinated efforts in international and regional organizations, including the United Nations, Non-Aligned Movement, Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), D-8 Economic Cooperation Organization, and the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA).
The discussions concluded with a review of other issues of mutual interest, reflecting a shared commitment to strengthening collaboration across political, economic, and social spheres.
