Azerbaijan PM Meets ICDO Secretary-General in Vienna

Vienna, The Gulf Observer: Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov on December 19 met with Secretary-General of the International Civil Defence Organization (ICDO) Arguj Kalantarli, during which the two sides discussed strengthening bilateral cooperation.
At the meeting, both sides hailed the long-standing and constructive partnership between Azerbaijan and the ICDO. The Secretary-General expressed gratitude for Azerbaijan’s consistent support for the Organization and its strong commitment to international cooperation, noting the country’s extensive experience in the fields of civil defence and emergency management.
Arguj Kalantarli briefed Prime Minister Asadov on the ICDO’s ongoing institutional reforms, efforts to expand its membership, and planned humanitarian initiatives aimed at enhancing global civil protection capacities.
Prime Minister Ali Asadov reaffirmed Azerbaijan’s commitment to continued cooperation with the ICDO, emphasizing the importance Baku attaches to developing and strengthening ties with the Organization.
The meeting also addressed other issues of mutual interest related to the future development and expansion of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the ICDO.
