Baku, The Gulf Observer: The Ministry of Defence of Azerbaijan reported an incident on April 7, involving provocation by Armenian armed forces targeting Azerbaijan Army positions in the direction of Shada settlement of Shahbuz district in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.

According to the Ministry’s statement, at approximately 17:15 local time, Armenian armed forces units stationed near Sultanbay settlement of Pashali district initiated gunfire using small arms toward Azerbaijan Army positions.

In response to this act of aggression, Azerbaijan Army units promptly implemented necessary retaliatory measures in the targeted direction.

The incident underscores ongoing tensions in the region and highlights the continued vigilance of Azerbaijani forces in safeguarding the security and integrity of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
