Azerbaijan Sees Significant Job Growth in Liberated Districts During First Half of 2024

Baku, The Gulf Observer: In the first half of 2024, Azerbaijan’s districts liberated from occupation experienced a notable increase in job creation, with 840 new positions established, according to NHC. This marks a 42% increase compared to the same period in 2023, when 593 new jobs were created.

Lachin and Shusha were the leading districts in job creation, with 299 new jobs in Lachin and 232 in Shusha during the reporting period. These figures reflect the ongoing efforts to revitalize and develop the liberated territories.

Additionally, 159 new enterprises and organizations were registered, along with 1,726 new individual entrepreneurship entities. Compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, the number of newly established enterprises and organizations increased by 90, while individual entrepreneurs rose by 488.

This economic growth underscores Azerbaijan’s commitment to rebuilding and developing its liberated districts, further integrating them into the national economy.
