Azerbaijan Women’s Basketball Team Reaches Historic Final at FIBA 3×3 Europe Cup

Baku, The Gulf Observer: The Azerbaijan women’s basketball team has secured a place in the final of the FIBA 3×3 Europe Cup in Copenhagen, Denmark, marking a historic first for the nation in the competition.

In the group stage, Azerbaijan delivered strong performances, defeating France 21-16 and Ukraine 21-14 to advance as group leaders. The team went on to edge past Poland 16-13 in the quarterfinals before overcoming reigning European champions Spain 21-17 in the semifinals.

With this victory, Azerbaijan achieved its first-ever appearance in a FIBA 3×3 Europe Cup final. The team will now face the Netherlands in the championship match.
