Azerbaijani Forces Excel in “Caspian Sky-2024” Exercise

Baku, The Gulf Observer: The Ministry of Defense has reported that in accordance with the approved training plan for 2024 by Minister of Defense Zakir Hasanov, the Azerbaijani Air Force and Naval Forces have conducted the “Caspian Sky-2024” joint tactical exercise, aimed at enhancing organizational capabilities in air defense.
The exercise involved the participation of up to 300 military personnel, comprising combat units, guard forces, command and control units, as well as ships, boats, combat helicopters, and unmanned aerial vehicles.
As per the exercise plan, the ships, mobilized from their bases on alert, collaborated with Air Force aircraft to execute combat tasks focused on organizing air defense of maritime energy infrastructure and neutralizing simulated enemy targets within the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea.
In addition to these objectives, the exercise encompassed tasks such as anchoring and weighing anchor of ship tactical groups, establishing defense mechanisms against aerial attacks, and executing underwater diversion operations.
Throughout the two-stage tactical exercise, the personnel of the Air Force and Naval Forces demonstrated exemplary professionalism and proficiency in the execution of their assigned tasks.
The successful completion of the “Caspian Sky-2024” joint tactical exercise underscores the ongoing commitment of the Azerbaijani military to enhance readiness and operational effectiveness in safeguarding the nation’s territorial integrity and maritime interests.
