Azerbaijani President Holds Talks with UAE President, Attends Games of the Future 2025 Opening
Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev is on an official visit to the United Arab Emirates at the invitation of President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
On December 17, President Ilham Aliyev held a meeting with Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Abu Dhabi. The discussions focused on bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and the UAE, as well as prospects for expanding cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
Following the meeting, the leaders of Azerbaijan and the United Arab Emirates jointly attended the opening ceremony of the Games of the Future 2025, an annual global phygital sports tournament that combines traditional sports with digital and technological elements.
The participation of the two presidents underscored the importance attached by both countries to strengthening strategic ties and promoting international cooperation in sports, innovation, and emerging technologies.
