Bahrain’s First Royal Mechanized Infantry Battalion museum inaugurated
Manama, The Gulf Observer: Under the patronage of the Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defense Force (BDF), Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, the Museum of the Frst Royal Mechanized Infantry Battalion was opened today.
The ceremony coincided with the celebrations of the 55th anniversary of the founding of the BDF.
The Commander-in-Chief was welcomed by the Head of the Military Office of His Majesty the King, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Shaikh Abdullah bin Salman Al Khalifa, Minister of Defense Affairs Lieutenant General Abdullah bin Hassan Al Nuaimi, Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Dhiyab bin Saqr Al Nuaimi, Commander of the 1st Royal Mechanized Infantry Battalion Colonel Abdulwahab Saeed Al Mansouri and senior officers.
The Commander-in-Chief toured the museum and reviewed the equipment and the important systems, weapons and technologies in the unit.
He unveiled the memorial plaque marking the opening of the Museum of the First Royal Mechanized Infantry Battalion.
The Commander-in-Chief viewed historical photographs that highlighted the progress of the unit, as the various of its development.
