BIBF conducts training for Saudi Dar Al-Hekma University

Manama, The Gulf Observer: The Bahrain Institute of Banking and finance (BIBF), the leading training and development provider in the region, concluded a practical simulation programme entitled “Diploma in Trading and Financial Market Analysis – Level 5” for a group of students and graduates at Dar Al-Hekma University, Saudi Arabia.

Through the five-day programme, The BIBF introduced the students from banking services and global markets specialisations to the latest in financial technology, in line with international best practices and standards.

The programme was implemented through a realistic simulation of the workplace, as an innovative training method, where participants were rotated to represent the various roles in a financial institution, and the mechanism of introducing them to what happens in investment banks, and what asset managers and managers of wealth funds or hedge funds do in terms of duties, tasks, functions, and decisions.

On this occasion, The BIBF’s Director, Dr. Ahmed Abdulhameed Al-Shaikh, expressed his happiness with this cooperation with Dar Al-Hekma University, which reflects the confidence that the BIBF has amongst academic and training institutions in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, noting that BIBF continues its’ training activities in cooperation with many commercial institutions in Saudi Arabia through bilateral agreements, which contributes to qualifying Saudi national cadres in various sectors and providing them with the required technical, administrative and technological skills, especially in the Banking and finance fields, to keep pace with the developments taking place in the Kingdom.

The Head of the Banking and Finance Department at Dar Al-Hekma University, Dr. Karima Sassi, expressed her happiness with the implementation of this programme for the university students at The BIBF, which contributed to providing them with the practical skills required for work, as well as enhancing confidence in their abilities in management and decision-making.

Furthermore, Dr. Sassi praised the BIBF’s advanced academic and practical offerings and its specialised programmes in cooperation with major international academic and training institutions, which has earned it an excellent reputation regionally and globally.

Regarding the programme, the BIBF’s Banking and Finance Centre Head, Zeeba Askar, explained that the programme provides new graduates with the practical skills that qualify them for the labour market, in addition to simulating real work sites, providing them with new experiences on how to manage financial institutions and address problems, obstacles and challenges that may occur.

The BIBF implements many specialised training programmes for financial and commercial institutions in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, including finance, Islamic banking, insurance, takaful, financial technology and digital transformation institutions.
