British Ambassador Pledges Support for Azerbaijan in COP29 Preparations

Baku, The Gulf Observer: The United Kingdom will support Azerbaijan in ensuring the successful completion of COP29, British Ambassador to Azerbaijan Fergus Auld announced during an event celebrating the birthday of King Charles III. The event, reported by media, highlighted the growing cooperation between the two nations in the field of renewable energy.
Ambassador Auld emphasized Azerbaijan’s potential in clean energy production, noting that the country possesses substantial resources for renewable energy. He pointed out that British multinational oil and gas company bp is strengthening its strategic cooperation with Azerbaijan through renewable energy projects in Jabrayl.
“The United Kingdom is committed to supporting Azerbaijan in its efforts to host a successful COP29,” Ambassador Auld stated. “Azerbaijan’s significant resources for clean energy production provide a strong foundation for this endeavor.”
He further elaborated on bp’s role in enhancing this strategic partnership, particularly through projects aimed at harnessing renewable energy in Jabrayl.
