Brunei’s MoFE Holds Doa Selamat Ceremony for Intending Haj Pilgrims

Bandar Seri Begawan, The Gulf Observer: Brunei’s Ministry of Finance and Economy (MoFE) held a Doa Selamat ceremony for its intending haj pilgrims at the Theatre Hall of MoFE yesterday, in a meaningful gesture of spiritual support and appreciation.

The event commenced with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah, followed by a religious talk titled Lambaian Haji delivered by Mosque Affairs Officer at Jame’ ‘Asr Hassanil Bolkiah, Pengiran Ahmad Faris Ramadhani bin Pengiran Haji Sellahhuddin.

Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Finance and Economy II, Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah, graced the event as the guest of honour. He presented donations to 10 intending haj pilgrims, comprising officers and staff of the ministry.

The annual ceremony reflects the ministry’s continued efforts to honour officers and staff embarking on the pilgrimage, while fostering a spirit of unity and support within the organisation. This year’s event was organised by the Expenditure Section, Expenditure Division, and the National Development Plan Unit under MoFE.

Also in attendance were Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy (Economy), Yang Mulia Dato Seri Paduka Haji Khairuddin bin Haji Abdul Hamid, and Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy (Fiscal), Yang Mulia Pengiran Datin Seri Paduka Hajah Zety Sufina binti Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Sani.

The ceremony concluded with prayers for the safety and well-being of the pilgrims as they prepare for the sacred journey.
