Bulgarian NA Speaker Explores Ninh Binh’s Cultural and Economic Landscape

Hanoi, The Gulf Observer: As part of Speaker Rosen Dimitrov Jeliazkov’s official visit to Viet Nam from January 5-9, a delegation from the Bulgarian National Assembly embarked on an official trip to the northern province of Ninh Binh on Saturday.
Led by Speaker Jeliazkov, the delegation was briefed by Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Doan Minh Huan on Ninh Binh’s socio-economic development, potential, and advantages, with a special emphasis on its tourism attractions.
Ninh Binh, home to the ancient capital of Dai Co Viet and the UNESCO-recognized Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex, follows a green, environmentally-friendly development model, focusing on tourism as an economic spearhead. In 2023, the province achieved a growth rate of 7.27%, ranking 23rd among Vietnamese cities and provinces.
Ninh Binh aspires to become a centrally-run city by 2035, characterized as a millennium heritage city deeply integrated into the global network of heritage cities and cultural industries. Secretary Huan expressed hope that the visit would foster cooperation with heritage urban centers in Bulgaria, particularly in the realm of tourism development.
Speaker Jeliazkov affirmed the visit’s intent to strengthen the friendship between the two countries and National Assemblies, expressing optimism for successful celebrations marking the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations in 2025. The Bulgarian delegation is scheduled to visit the Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex later in the afternoon on January 6.
