Bulgarian President Highlights Opportunities for Enhanced Cooperation with Vietnam

Hanoi, The Gulf Observer: President of Bulgaria Rumen Radev underscored the vast potential for cooperation between Bulgaria and Vietnam across various sectors during a reception for Vietnamese Ambassador Nguyễn Thị Minh Nguyệt, who presented her credentials in Sofia on June 4.
President Radev expressed his satisfaction with the recent positive developments in bilateral relations and voiced hope that trade exchanges between the two countries would continue to grow. He noted that significant room remains for expanding economic, trade, and investment cooperation, and called on both nations to intensify efforts to deepen their partnership in the time ahead.
Affirming Bulgaria’s consistent view of Việt Nam as a trustworthy, sincere, and loyal friend, the President reiterated his country’s commitment to fostering strong and enduring ties with the Southeast Asian nation.
Ambassador Nguyệt, for her part, emphasized that Việt Nam always places great importance on bolstering its relationship with Bulgaria, considering it a key partner in strengthening cooperation with the Central and Eastern European region and the European Union as a whole.
She pledged to work closely with Bulgarian agencies and dedicate her efforts to contributing to the comprehensive and substantive development of bilateral relations in the coming years.
The two sides are actively coordinating preparations for the upcoming Việt Nam – Bulgaria Economic Cooperation Forum, which will be held in both in-person and online formats on July 3 in Sofia. The event will mark the 75th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two nations.
On this occasion, Ambassador Nguyệt also requested that the Bulgarian leadership continue to create favourable conditions and provide support for the Vietnamese community residing in the country.
