Carole Feuerman’s Exhibition “Reborn into the Water” Opens at Heydar Aliyev Center

Baku, The Gulf Observer: The opening ceremony of the exhibition “Reborn into the Water” by world-renowned American sculptor Carole Feuerman was held at the Heydar Aliyev Center in Baku.
The ceremony was attended by Alena Aliyeva, Director of the Heydar Aliyev Center Anar Alakbarov, the artist Carole Feuerman, as well as official guests, diplomats, and prominent figures from the arts community.
In his remarks, Anar Alakbarov said the Heydar Aliyev Center is opening the year with a landmark exhibition, describing the project as one of the most significant exhibitions to be hosted by the Center this year. He noted that most of the works on display were brought from the United States and several European countries, adding that one of the exhibited pieces is being shown in Baku for the first time.
Addressing the audience, Carole Feuerman said that art has always been her primary means of expression, serving as a powerful storytelling tool, a platform for intellectual exploration, and the most intuitive way to convey emotion. She explained that the works presented in the exhibition are dedicated to the theme of water, through which she seeks to foster empathy and challenge conventional ways of thinking.
One of the highlights of the exhibition is Feuerman’s work Ruth, which is being publicly displayed for the first time at the Heydar Aliyev Center.
Carole Feuerman is internationally acclaimed for her highly realistic full-body sculptures and is particularly known for her figurative works depicting swimmers and dancers. The exhibition “Reborn into the Water” traces the artist’s creative evolution from the 1970s to her contemporary signature swimmer figures, offering a comprehensive retrospective of her career.
Feuerman’s works have been exhibited at prestigious venues around the world, with outdoor installations featured at iconic locations such as Park Avenue and Central Park in New York, the Poydras Corridor in New Orleans, and Avenue George V in Paris.
