Presidents of Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan signed an agreement
Which covers friendship, good neighborliness and cooperation
The agreement on friendship, good neighborliness and cooperation for the purpose of development of Central Asia in the 21st century was signed at the fourth consultative meeting of the Central Asian leaders in Cholpon-Ata on July 21.
The given agreement was signed by President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokaev, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The Presidents of Tajikistan and Turkmenistan were present at the summit.
The following documents were signed:
- Resolution of the member states of the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea on extension of the powers of the Fund’s President;
- Joint statement of the consultative meeting of the Central Asian leaders;
- Concept of cooperation of the Central Asian countries in the framework of multilateral formats;
- Regional program “Green Agenda for Central Asia”
- Roadmap for development of regional cooperation for 2022-2024.
“Today we will sign the agreement on friendship, good neighborliness and cooperation for the purpose of development of Central Asia in the 21st century. I am convinced this document will produce a positive impact on further rapprochement of countries of the region and consolidation of the joint efforts in addressing arising challenges and threats. This is a historic moment and I hope this agreement will become a strong basis for universal prosperity in Central Asia,” President Japarov said at the Central Asian summit.
