China, Russia and South Africa to hold 2nd joint maritime drills
Beijing, The Gulf Observer: China, Russia and South Africa will hold joint maritime exercises off the east coast of Durban and Richards Bay, South Africa, from February 20 to 27, the Chinese Defense Ministry said on Sunday.
In a news release, the ministry said the drills are conducive to enhancing defense and security cooperation among the BRICS group and the three countries’ capabilities to defend their maritime security.
The three nations conducted their first joint maritime exercises in November 2019.
