President of Serbia meets with Chinese FM
New York, The Gulf Observer: Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi met with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic on the sidelines of the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA 77) in New York on Wednesday.
Vucic asked Wang Yi to convey his sincere greetings to President Xi Jinping and said that Serbia-China relations truly reflect mutual respect and mutual trust, and the economic and trade pragmatic cooperation between the two countries has also developed rapidly, and once again thanked China for its strong support and assistance to Serbia’s economic and social development.
Serbia cherishes the friendship established with China, firmly adheres to the one-China policy, believes that there is only one China in the world, and this position will never change.
Wang Yi conveys President Xi Jinping’s greetings to President Vucic. Wang Yi appreciates the solidarity of the whole country in Serbia, firmly safeguarding national sovereignty, national dignity and legitimate rights and interests, and the continuous positive achievements in national construction.
Wang said that China and Serbia are each other’s reliable partners. Under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state, China-Serbia relations have entered a new era of vigorous development, and practical cooperation has advanced by leaps and bounds, helping the country to accelerate its development and revitalization.
