Chinese Foreign Minister and Central African Republic’s Foreign Affairs Minister Forge Stronger Ties in Beijing Talks
Beijing, The Gulf Observer: Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi engaged in fruitful discussions with Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Central African Republic, Sylvie Baipo-Temon, in Beijing on Monday. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to bolstering cooperation across various domains, marking a significant step towards strengthening bilateral relations.
During the talks, Minister Wang, a prominent member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, underscored China’s steadfast regard for the Central African Republic as a valued friend and partner. He reaffirmed China’s unwavering support for the Central African Republic in charting a development path tailored to its national circumstances, pledging advocacy for the country’s interests at the United Nations Security Council and in multilateral forums.
Minister Wang emphasized China’s readiness to deepen strategic trust and expand friendly collaboration with the Central African Republic, with the aim of cultivating a strategic partnership. He outlined China’s commitment to enhancing cooperation in key areas such as infrastructure development, sustainable practices, healthcare, education, and security. Moreover, Wang expressed China’s expectation for the Central African Republic to foster a conducive environment for Chinese enterprises to invest and operate within its borders.
In response, Minister Baipo-Temon expressed gratitude for China’s adherence to the principle of non-interference in other nations’ internal affairs. She reaffirmed the Central African Republic’s steadfast adherence to the one-China principle and unwavering support for China’s core interests. Highlighting her country’s alignment with China’s global initiatives, Baipo-Temon conveyed the Central African Republic’s eagerness to expand cooperative endeavors with China across various sectors, aiming for mutually beneficial outcomes. Additionally, she affirmed her nation’s participation in the upcoming Forum on China-Africa Cooperation to advance the vision of an Africa-China community with a shared future.
Subsequent to the discussions, the foreign ministries of China and the Central African Republic issued a joint statement outlining their commitment to promoting the implementation of three global initiatives.
