Chinese Foreign Minister to Undertake Official Visits to Indonesia, Cambodia, and Papua New Guinea
Beijing, The Gulf Observer: Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi is scheduled to embark on an official visit to Indonesia, Cambodia, and Papua New Guinea (PNG) from April 18 to 23, as announced by foreign ministry spokesperson Lin Jian on Tuesday.
Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian revealed that during his visit, Minister Wang Yi, who also serves as a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and director of the Office of the Central Commission for Foreign Affairs, will play a pivotal role in chairing two significant meetings.
In Indonesia, Minister Wang will preside over the Fourth Meeting of the China-Indonesia High-Level Dialogue Cooperation Mechanism, aiming to strengthen bilateral ties and enhance cooperation across various sectors. This dialogue mechanism serves as a crucial platform for fostering mutual understanding and collaboration between the two nations.
Subsequently, in Cambodia, Minister Wang will lead discussions at the Seventh Meeting of the China-Cambodia Intergovernmental Coordination Committee. This meeting underscores the commitment of both countries to bolstering strategic cooperation and advancing shared interests through coordinated efforts.
Minister Wang’s visit to Papua New Guinea (PNG) underscores China’s commitment to deepening engagement with Pacific Island nations.
