Cuban Foreign Minister Reaffirms Special Friendship with Vietnam

Havana, The Gulf Observer: Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla reaffirmed the deep solidarity, special friendship, and fraternal bond between Cuba and Vietnam during a meeting with Vietnamese Ambassador to Cuba, Lê Quang Long.
In their discussions, Rodríguez emphasized the strong political exchanges between the two nations, highlighting the consistent engagement at the highest leadership level. He extended heartfelt condolences on behalf of the Cuban government and people over the passing of former Party General Secretary Nguyễn Phú Trọng, who played a pivotal role in strengthening the bilateral ties between the two countries.
The Cuban Foreign Minister also expressed his sympathies to Vietnam for the human and material losses suffered due to Typhoon Yagi, offering support during this difficult time.
Ambassador Lê Quang Long, representing the Vietnamese Party and Government, conveyed deep gratitude for Cuba’s unwavering support, particularly for its assistance during natural disasters. He praised the enduring bond between the two nations, describing Cuba’s timely help as a testament to the special Vietnam-Cuba relationship.
The Vietnamese diplomat also reiterated Vietnam’s steadfast stance in urging the United States to lift its long-standing embargo on Cuba. He affirmed that Vietnam remains committed to promoting trade, investment, and cooperation, particularly in food production, to support Cuba’s development.
Ambassador Long further pledged to continue fostering the enduring friendship and cooperation between the two nations, ensuring that the ties between Vietnam and Cuba remain strong for generations to come.
