Dubai Gears Up for Diwali 2024 with Spectacular Celebrations and Events

Dubai, The Gulf Observer: Dubai is set to dazzle this Diwali with a vibrant programme of entertainment and cultural festivities from 25th October to 7th November 2024. Residents and visitors can look forward to an array of events, including fireworks, music, theatre, art, and free community activities, creating an immersive Festival of Lights experience for all.

Organized by Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), the Diwali calendar features highlights such as Noor – Festival of Lights at Al Seef, a series of fireworks displays, traditional Indian cultural performances, and much more.

Fireworks and Cultural Highlights

Fireworks will light up the night skies on 25th October at Al Seef and Global Village, with additional displays on 26th October, 1st and 2nd November at Global Village, starting at 9 PM.

One of the key highlights is Noor – Festival of Lights, running from 25th to 27th October at Al Seef, offering interactive performances, puppet shows, poetry, and traditional Indian delicacies along the scenic promenade. Families can also explore Al Seef’s souk and enjoy an immersive cultural experience.

Music, Theatre, and Fashion

Music enthusiasts can enjoy The Unforgettables, a tribute to legendary singer Jagjit Singh, performed by Tauseef Akhtar at the Sheikh Rashid Auditorium until 26th October. Theatre lovers will be treated to Meera: Echoes of Love on 26th October at Dubai British School, Jumeirah Park, and the thrilling play Barff at Zabeel Theatre on 8th November.

Fashion aficionados can explore festive exhibitions like the Diwali Fiesta at Pullman Dubai Jumeirah Lakes Towers and the Diwali Edit at DoubleTree by Hilton M Square on 26th October, featuring luxury apparel, jewellery, and home décor.

Comedy and Family Events

UK stand-up comedian Romesh Ranganathan will perform at Coca-Cola Arena on 25th October, offering a night of laughter. For family fun, Deep Utsav 2024 at Glendale International School on 27th October will feature games, competitions, and lively performances.
