Emir of Qatar Hosts UAE FM, Discusses Bilateral Relations
Doha, The Gulf Observer: His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar, extended a warm welcome Sunday at his office in Lusail Palace to H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), in the presence of Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdurrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Qatar’s Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs.
During the meeting, which took place as part of the UAE Foreign Minister’s working visit to Doha, the leaders exchanged greetings and well wishes. H.H. Sheikh Abdullah conveyed the regards of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to Qatar and its people, expressing hopes for continued prosperity and progress. His Highness Sheikh Tamim reciprocated the sentiments and exchanged warm greetings.
The discussions delved into various aspects of the fraternal relations between Qatar and the UAE, with a focus on avenues to strengthen and enhance bilateral cooperation. Both sides explored opportunities for collaboration across different sectors while affirming their commitment to bolstering mutual interests and fostering the welfare of their respective peoples.
Addressing the depth of UAE-Qatar relations, H.H. Sheikh Abdullah underscored the continuous efforts of both nations to capitalize on available opportunities for expanding cooperation. The leaders also deliberated on regional and international issues of common concern, emphasizing the importance of coordination and cooperation in addressing shared challenges.
Sheikh Abdullah expressed gratitude to the Emir of Qatar for the gracious reception, extending his best wishes for the continued progress and prosperity of Qatar and its people.
The meeting was attended by dignitaries including Reem bint Ebrahim Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation; Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh, Minister of State; Sheikh Zayed bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, UAE Ambassador to Qatar; and Omran Sharaf, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Advanced Sciences and Technology, underscoring the significance of the discussions held.
