Fashion Extravaganza Commences: National Turkmen Clothing Showcased in Ashgabat
Ashgabat, The Gulf Observer: The grand opening of the first day of fashion shows featuring national Turkmen clothing took place at the Ashgabat Fashion House today, coinciding with the momentous inclusion of the Turkmen capital in the UNESCO network of creative cities. The event welcomed Hind Joudar, President of the Oriental Fashion Show Association, as the esteemed guest of honor.
The opening ceremony also featured an exhibition of handicrafts from the creative association “Design Plus.” The Ashgabat Fashion House showcased its collection, presenting the beauty and uniqueness of Turkmen national dresses.
Each ensemble epitomized a harmonious blend of opulent fabrics adorned with authentic hand embroidery by Turkmen craftswomen. The inclusion of children in national costumes underscored the significance of transmitting traditions and cultural heritage to the younger generation.
The event was enriched with musical compositions, imparting a lyrical direction. Tomorrow, the fashion forum will continue with the Mähirli Zenan Fashion House taking the stage. The series of events was jointly organized by the Secretariat of the National Commission of Turkmenistan for UNESCO, the Ashgabat Fashion House, and the city administration.
