First International Youth Poetry Festival's Special Session for BRICS Countries Held in Beijing

Beijing, The Gulf Observer: A seminar for the First International Youth Poetry Festival’s Special Session for BRICS Countries took place in Beijing on Wednesday, bringing together over 70 young poets from ten nations, including Brazil, Russia, India, South Africa, Saudi Arabia, and China.

During the event, the poets engaged in discussions on the value, inheritance, and innovation of poetry. They acknowledged the long history of cultural exchanges among BRICS countries and unanimously agreed that poetry serves as a vital bridge for communication and exchange between different nations and peoples.

The participants expressed their hope for more cultural exchange activities among BRICS countries in the future to enhance cross-cultural learning and strengthen people-to-people ties.

The Special Session for BRICS Countries was a part of the broader First International Youth Poetry Festival, which was held in Hangzhou and Beijing from July 18 to 24. The festival featured a variety of literary activities, including academic discussions and poetry recitals, aimed at fostering a deeper appreciation and understanding of poetry among the youth from diverse cultural backgrounds.
