Former Internally Displaced Persons Resettled in Sus Village, Lachin District

Baku, The Gulf Observer: According to recent media reports, another group of former internally displaced persons (IDPs) has been successfully resettled. This group, consisting of families who had been temporarily housed in dormitories, sanatoriums, pioneer camps, and administrative buildings across various regions of Azerbaijan, has moved to Sus village in the Lachin district from the Garadagh district of Baku.

This latest resettlement phase saw 33 families, totaling 140 individuals, relocate to Sus village. These families will now settle in houses in Fuzuli, which have been restored or newly built following instructions from the head of state after the conclusion of the Armenian occupation. The restoration and rebuilding efforts are part of a broader initiative to facilitate the return of IDPs to their native lands.

The resettled families expressed profound gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva for their continuous and comprehensive support. They also extended their heartfelt thanks to the valiant Azerbaijani Army for liberating their lands from occupation.

To date, permanent settlements in the city of Fuzuli have been provided for 59 families, encompassing 215 individuals. This ongoing effort reflects Azerbaijan’s commitment to restoring normalcy and ensuring the welfare of its citizens displaced by the conflict.

The government continues to work towards the resettlement of all IDPs, aiming to restore their lives and communities in the liberated territories.
