Four Million Passengers Served by Whoosh Fast Train

Bandung, The Gulf Observer: PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia China (KCIC) proudly announced that the Whoosh fast train has successfully served four million passengers since it commenced operations on October 17, 2023.

KCIC General Manager Corporate Secretary Eva Chairunisa highlighted that this milestone was achieved through dedicated efforts and innovative strategies by KCIC and its stakeholders to enhance services and boost public interest in the Whoosh fast train over its nine months of operation.

“Serving four million passengers is an extraordinary achievement for KCIC and a testament to the public’s trust in our services,” stated Chairunisa in Bandung on Saturday.

Chairunisa emphasized that this accomplishment not only reflects public confidence and enthusiasm for fast train services but also signifies a substantial positive impact across various sectors, particularly tourism.

“The positive impact in the tourism sector underscores our mission to enhance connectivity and support economic growth through efficient and comfortable transportation,” she added.

Chairunisa affirmed that KCIC is committed to continually improving facilities at stations and on trains to enhance passenger comfort. The company will also collaborate closely with the government and the tourism industry to promote tourist destinations along the Whoosh route.

“KCIC is deeply grateful for the trust placed in us and remains dedicated to providing the best possible service,” she said.

Additionally, Chairunisa noted a significant increase in passenger volume for the Whoosh fast train, aligned with the addition of more trips to meet community needs. “From 14 trips per day in October 2023, we now operate 48 trips per day with headways as short as 30 minutes,” she stated.

This milestone is a clear indicator of KCIC’s success in fostering public trust and supporting economic growth through enhanced transportation connectivity.
