France, Germany, and UK Endorse Ceasefire Efforts in Gaza
Paris, The Gulf Observer: In a show of solidarity, France, Germany, and the United Kingdom have expressed their strong support for ongoing international efforts aimed at achieving a ceasefire and securing the release of hostages in Gaza. The joint statement, signed by French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, emphasized their commitment to preventing further escalation in the region.
The statement welcomed the recent diplomatic initiatives led by Qatar, Egypt, and the United States. The leaders endorsed the joint call from Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al Thani, Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, and US President Joe Biden, which advocates for the immediate resumption of negotiations.
“We agree that there can be no further delay,” the statement read, underscoring the urgency of the situation. The three leaders reiterated their collective efforts to work with all parties involved to de-escalate tensions and find a sustainable path to stability.
