Georgia’s Foreign Minister to Visit Azerbaijan for Strategic Discussions
Tbilisi, The Gulf Observer: Georgia’s Foreign Minister Maka Bochorishvili is set to embark on an official visit to Azerbaijan, the Georgian Foreign Ministry announced. The plans were discussed during her recent meeting with Azerbaijani Ambassador Faig Guliyev.
The visit will coincide with the 10th meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation, which is scheduled to take place in Baku. Discussions will focus on bolstering bilateral relations and exploring new avenues for cooperation in various sectors.
“The sides discussed current issues on the bilateral agenda. Special attention was given to the minister’s upcoming visit to Azerbaijan and the preparations for the Intergovernmental Commission meeting,” the Ministry’s statement said.
Minister Bochorishvili emphasized the strong strategic partnership between Georgia and Azerbaijan, which spans multiple sectors including commerce, transportation logistics, energy, and economic frameworks.
The dialogue highlighted the outcomes of the two nations’ collaborative efforts, underscoring their shared commitment to fostering sustainable development within the region’s geopolitical landscape. Both parties reiterated their readiness to strengthen their alliance and further invigorate bilateral ties.
