Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Sends Congratulations to Iran’s New Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei

Ashgabat, The Gulf Observer: Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has extended congratulations and best wishes to Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei on the occasion of his election as the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Turkmenistan’s official media reported Tuesday.
In his message, Berdimuhamedov wished the newly elected Supreme Leader good health and success in his responsibilities, expressing hope for peace, stability and prosperity for the Iranian people.
Ayatollah Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei was recently elected as the third Supreme Leader of Iran, succeeding his father, Ali Hosseini Khamenei.
Earlier, Berdimuhamedov had also conveyed condolences on behalf of the people of Turkmenistan to Masoud Pezeshkian and the Iranian nation following the passing of Ayatollah Ali Hosseini Khamenei.
The Turkmen leader expressed sympathy over the loss and emphasized the importance of continued friendly relations between Turkmenistan and Iran.
