Hakimi Eyes Real Madrid Return Despite PSG Contract Until 2029

Rabat, The Gulf Observer: Moroccan international Achraf Hakimi is reportedly willing to take significant steps to secure a return to Spanish giants Real Madrid, according to Spanish journalist Ramón Álvarez de Mon.

The report suggests that while the situation remains complex—particularly following Hakimi’s recent contract renewal with Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) until 2029—there is still potential for future negotiations. Improved relations between PSG and Real Madrid in recent times could play a key role in facilitating any possible move.

Ramón Álvarez de Mon further revealed that Hakimi is prepared to do whatever is necessary to complete the transfer. The player’s strong emotional connection to Real Madrid was also highlighted by his agent in a statement last November, saying, “Real Madrid is his home.”

Hakimi has continued to demonstrate his exceptional value on the European football stage. During the 2024–25 season, he delivered an impressive performance, scoring 11 goals and providing 16 assists across 55 appearances.

Real Madrid, already boasting a star-studded lineup featuring Kylian Mbappé, Vinícius Júnior, and Jude Bellingham, are reportedly still seeking to reinforce their right-back position—an area where Hakimi could offer significant impact.

A return to Madrid would mark a full-circle moment for Hakimi, who began his professional career with the club before rising to prominence across Europe.
