Heydar Aliyev International Airport Adopts Summer Flight Schedule, Expands Global Connectivity

Baku, The Gulf Observer: Heydar Aliyev International Airport has announced the transition to its spring–summer flight schedule, effective from March 29, 2026, with operations set to continue under the new timetable until October 24.

Under the seasonal schedule, the airport will offer an expanded network of international flights, significantly enhancing connectivity between Azerbaijan’s capital and key destinations across Europe, Central Asia, South Asia, and East Asia.

According to airport authorities, regional and Asian routes will include major cities such as Istanbul, Ankara, Moscow, Tashkent, Dushanbe, Urgench, Astana, Almaty, and Aktau. Long-haul connections will also extend to Beijing and Urumqi, strengthening links with East Asia.

On the European front, passengers will have access to a wide array of destinations including Berlin, Frankfurt, Milan, Rome, Warsaw, Prague, London, Vienna, Budapest, Paris, Barcelona, and Chisinau. Additional regular services will connect Baku with Tbilisi, Bishkek, Izmir, Bodrum, Belgrade, Male, and Islamabad.

The expanded flight operations will be supported by a number of leading international and regional carriers, including Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL), Turkish Airlines, Pegasus Airlines, AJet, Air Astana, Uzbekistan Airways, Wizz Air, China Southern Airlines, LOT Polish Airlines, and Lufthansa, among others.

With an anticipated surge in travel demand during the summer months, airport officials have advised passengers to book tickets well in advance. Travelers are also encouraged to utilize online check-in services and self-service facilities at the airport, including self check-in kiosks and baggage drop-off systems, to ensure a smooth travel experience.
