Hezbollah Confirms Martyrdom of Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah

Beirut, The Gulf Observer: Hezbollah has officially confirmed the martyrdom of its Secretary-General, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, following a reported Israeli airstrike on Friday evening in southern Beirut.

In a statement released on Saturday, Hezbollah declared, “His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, the Secretary-General of Hezbollah, has joined his great and immortal martyr comrades who have led their path for nearly thirty years.”

According to resistance media, Nasrallah was assassinated during a massive Israeli attack that targeted what Israeli military sources described as the “central headquarters” of Hezbollah in the Dahieh district, a stronghold of the movement in southern Beirut.

The airstrike occurred amid escalating tensions between Hezbollah and the Israeli regime, as conflict in the Gaza Strip continues to intensify. The Israeli assaults in Gaza have prompted retaliatory actions from Hezbollah along the Lebanon-Israel border, leading to fears of a broader regional conflict.

Nasrallah, who had led Hezbollah for nearly three decades, was a pivotal figure in the resistance movement, shaping its role in Lebanon’s political and military landscape, particularly in its confrontations with Israel. His death marks a significant moment in the ongoing hostilities between Hezbollah and the Israeli regime.

The Israeli Defense Forces have yet to comment on Nasrallah’s reported assassination.
