HH Sayyid Theyazin Launches Military Discipline Programme for Omani Youth in Dhofar

Muscat, The Gulf Observer: His Highness Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth, has officially launched the implementation of the military discipline programme in Dhofar Governorate, set to run from June 30 to July 24. This initiative is part of a broader effort to nurture and support Omani youth.

In his statement, His Highness highlighted the government’s commitment, under the leadership of His Majesty the Sultan, the Supreme Commander, to the development of Omani youth and the promotion of the values deeply rooted in Omani society. “The military discipline programme underscores our dedication to the youth of Oman, who form the foundation of our nation,” he said.

The programme features a range of activities aimed at reinforcing national values and cultural, social, and sporting norms, fostering self-discipline and commitment, and enhancing the personal development of Omani youth. His Highness emphasized that these activities are designed to cultivate responsible and well-rounded individuals.

His Highness also noted that the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, various military and security agencies, and other government institutions, prioritizes citizenship, identity, heritage, and national culture in this training programme. These elements align with the pillars of Oman Vision 2040 and initiatives that promote youth development investment.

The programme targets 700 young men from different governorates of Oman, aiming to make them role models of positive behavior and contributors to the nation’s future. “The programme will develop these young men into exemplars of acquired values, capable of contributing to building future generations,” His Highness stated.

Furthermore, His Highness pointed out that the programme will strengthen national identity and foster a sense of belonging among participants. It will also create opportunities to harness the energies of Omani youth for effective developmental participation, advancing construction and prosperity, and achieving new national milestones for Oman. His Highness concluded by expressing confidence in the promising future of Oman under the leadership of His Majesty the Sultan.
