Indian-Backed Terror Proxies Target School Bus in Khuzdar; Three Children Among Five Martyred: ISPR

Khuzdar, The Gulf Observer: At least five individuals, including three schoolchildren, lost their lives and several others sustained injuries in a bomb explosion targeting a school bus in Khuzdar, Balochistan, on Wednesday morning. The incident has drawn strong condemnation from Pakistan’s civil and military leadership, who blamed Indian-sponsored elements for the attack.
According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the explosion claimed the lives of “three innocent children and two adults,” while “multiple children have sustained injuries.” The ISPR described the attack as “heinous and cowardly,” adding that it was the work of “Indian proxies” aiming to instill terror and destabilize the region.
“After having miserably failed in the battlefield, through these most heinous and cowardly acts, Indian proxies have been unleashed to spread terror and unrest in Balochistan and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa,” the military’s media wing stated.
The ISPR further emphasized that India, having failed in its objective through direct confrontation and covert operations such as “Operation Bunnianum Masroor,” has now turned to targeting civilians, particularly children. “These Indian terror proxies are being employed as a state tool by India to foment terrorism in Pakistan against soft targets such as innocent children and civilians,” the statement said.
It added that the use of terrorism as a state policy “reflects the low morality and blatant disregard for basic human norms by the Indian political government.” The ISPR affirmed that those responsible for planning, abetting, and executing this attack would be “hunted down and brought to justice.”
“Pakistan Armed Forces, with the support of the brave Pakistani nation, stand united to uproot Indian-sponsored terrorism from Pakistan in all its manifestations,” the statement concluded.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also condemned the attack in the strongest terms, describing it as a “terrorist act sponsored by India.” He expressed profound sorrow over the deaths of the children and adults on board the bus and extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families.
“The tragic loss of innocent lives is deeply painful,” the Prime Minister said. He directed law enforcement agencies to swiftly investigate the incident, identify those responsible, and ensure they are held accountable. He also instructed that the injured receive immediate and prioritized medical care.
President Asif Ali Zardari similarly condemned the bombing, calling it a grave violation of human rights. He extended his sympathies to the grieving families and expressed his firm support for efforts to bring the perpetrators to justice.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi expressed deep sorrow and grief over the “barbaric” attack, stating that the targeting of schoolchildren represents the most reprehensible form of violence. He reiterated the government’s resolve to eradicate terrorism and safeguard the lives of citizens.
The attack has reignited national and international concerns over regional security and the protection of civilians, especially children, in conflict-prone areas. Investigations into the incident are currently underway.
