Indonesia, Iran sign 11 cooperation documents
Jakarta, The Gulf Observer: A ceremony to sign the 11 cooperation documents and MoUs was held in the Indonesian capital city Jakarta on Tuesday.
The agreements consist of deals on preferential trade, visa waiver, cultural exchanges, cooperation on supervising the production of pharmaceutical products, collaborations in scientific, technological, and innovative arenas, and bilateral cooperation in oil and gas sectors.
The documents and MoUs were inked in the presence of the presidents of Indonesia and Iran and senior ministers from the two countries.
Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi left Tehran for Jakarta to visit the South Asian country upon an official invitation by his Indonesian counterpart Joko Widodo late on Monday.
Several ministers accompany President Raisi on the visit to Indonesia.
The Iranian delegation is planning to hold various meetings with Indonesian officials and scholars as well as Iranian expatriates.
