Indonesia, Malaysia Leaders Hold Extensive Talks in Jakarta, Emphasize Strategic Coordination Amid Global Challenges

Jakarta, The Gulf Observer: President of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, and Prime Minister of Malaysia, Anwar Ibrahim, held a three-hour meeting in Jakarta on Friday, combining Eid al-Fitr goodwill exchanges with in-depth discussions on geopolitical developments and global strategic issues.
According to a statement by Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, the meeting took place at the Merdeka Palace from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. local time, reflecting the depth and substance of the dialogue between the two leaders. President Prabowo later accompanied Prime Minister Anwar to Halim Airport, with both leaders traveling together in the same vehicle.
Officials described the discussions as warm and cordial, highlighting the close personal rapport between the two leaders. During the meeting, they exchanged Eid greetings while addressing geopolitical developments in West Asia and a range of strategic issues of mutual concern.
