“The participants of the 2022 International Drugs Enforcement Conference are law enforcement officials who deal with narcotics problems in their respective countries,” he said.

The conference will discuss strategies and cooperation for checking the supply of narcotics drugs, he added.

“In this activity, we will also discuss the best practices for handling drugs, which are expected not only from the supply and law enforcement sides, but also from addicts, victims of abuse, (and those who have undergone) rehabilitation,” he informed.

He said the practice of paying attention to drug addicts and victims of drug abuse is known as soft power, and is now being implemented by the BNN head.

According to him, the conference is also an opportunity to establish cooperation with other countries in efforts to tackle narcotics.

“The National Narcotics Agency is not only working at the downstream part, but upstream through cooperation. In addition to hard power, the approaches taken by the BNN head are soft power and cooperation.
