Iran and Oman Explore Bilateral Tourism and Cultural Cooperation

Tehran, The Gulf Observer: On Sunday, Ezzatollah Zarghami, Minister of Cultural Heritage of Iran, Tourism, and Handicrafts, welcomed Laila bint Ahmed bin Awad al Najjar, Omani Minister of Social Development, for discussions aimed at fostering closer ties between Tehran and Muscat in the realm of tourism.
During their meeting, Minister Zarghami emphasized the paramount importance his country places on expanding relations with Oman in the tourism sector. He underscored the potential for collaboration between the two nations to enhance maritime tourism and explore avenues for cooperation between their respective universities.
In response, Minister al Najjar extended an invitation to Minister Zarghami to participate in an upcoming specialized conference on tourism in Oman, highlighting Oman’s commitment to bolstering international partnerships in the tourism domain.
Furthermore, Minister al Najjar expressed Oman’s keen interest in collaborating with Iran in the field of handicrafts. She proposed the organization of joint exhibitions to showcase the rich cultural heritage and artisanal craftsmanship of both nations, signaling a desire to strengthen cultural exchange and economic cooperation.
The bilateral discussions between Iran and Oman reflect a shared commitment to deepening ties and exploring mutually beneficial opportunities for collaboration in tourism and cultural endeavors.
