The call was made during a meeting with Japan’s Deputy Foreign Minister Namazu Hiroyuki, who is visiting Tehran to participate in the 33rd Iran–Japan Vice-Ministerial Consultation.

During the meeting, Foreign Minister Araqchi emphasized the long-standing friendly relations between Iran and Japan and underscored Tehran’s readiness to further deepen ties in various areas, particularly in economic and trade cooperation. He also expressed Iran’s interest in strengthening diplomatic consultations with Japan on key regional and international issues.
