Iran, Tajikistan Agree to Draft Joint Roadmap on Social Welfare and Empowerment

Tehran, The Gulf Observer: Iran and Tajikistan have agreed to draft a joint roadmap focused on social welfare and social empowerment, the head of Iran’s State Welfare Organization announced on Tuesday.
Javad Hosseini made the statement during an official visit to Dushanbe, where he held talks with Mohiuddin Khairullahzadeh, Tajikistan’s Deputy Minister of Health. The discussions were held within the framework of the expanding relations between the two countries and aimed at enhancing cooperation in social and welfare-related fields.
Hosseini said the proposed roadmap could pave the way for effective exchanges of experience and contribute to improving supportive and welfare services for vulnerable groups in both Iran and Tajikistan. He added that Iran would provide training programs for Tajik social work staff and psychologists as part of the cooperation.
The two sides also agreed to hold joint specialized conferences and to sign new memoranda of understanding to further strengthen bilateral collaboration in social welfare and empowerment initiatives.
Alireza Haghighian, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Tajikistan, welcomed the specialized approach adopted in the talks and highlighted the extensive capacities of Iran’s State Welfare Organization. He affirmed the full readiness of the Iranian embassy to provide necessary cooperation, facilitate communications, and support the expansion of interactions between Iran’s State Welfare Organization and relevant institutions and agencies in Tajikistan.
The agreement reflects the continued strengthening of Iran–Tajikistan relations and underscores both countries’ commitment to enhancing social welfare systems and promoting inclusive development.
