Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi Meets UN Secretary-General in Brazil

Brasília, The Gulf Observer: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi held a meeting with United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres on Monday, continuing a series of high-level diplomatic engagements on the sidelines of an international summit in Brazil.
The meeting was attended by senior Iranian officials, including Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei, Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs Kazem Gharibabadi, and Iran’s Ambassador to Brazil, Abdullah Nekounam Ghadiri.
In the course of the day, Minister Araqchi also held bilateral meetings with several world leaders, including the Presidents of South Africa and Bolivia, the Prime Minister of Malaysia, the Deputy Foreign Minister of China, and the Minister of State at the Prime Minister’s Office of Thailand. The discussions focused on strengthening bilateral relations, promoting multilateral cooperation, and addressing key regional and global developments.
A day earlier, Araqchi met with the Prime Ministers of Egypt and China, and held talks with the Foreign Ministers of Brazil, Türkiye, India, and Russia. These meetings formed part of Iran’s active diplomatic efforts to deepen ties with partner nations and engage in dialogue on pressing international issues.
Araqchi’s engagements in Brazil underscore Iran’s commitment to constructive multilateral diplomacy and its continued interaction with the international community at the highest levels.
