Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni Arrives in Pakistan on Key Official Visit
Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni arrived in Pakistan on Monday on an important official visit, accompanied by a high-level delegation aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation and discussing regional developments.
Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi received his Iranian counterpart at the airport. Iran’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Reza Amiri Moghadam, was also present to welcome the visiting delegation. Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry presented a bouquet to Minister Momeni upon his arrival.
Welcoming the Iranian minister, Mohsin Naqvi said Pakistan warmly welcomes the distinguished guest and expressed hope that the visit would yield positive outcomes. He stated that the visit would further strengthen Pakistan-Iran bilateral relations and contribute to progress on issues concerning the regional situation.
The Iranian delegation includes the Governor-General of Sistan and Baluchestan Province, the Deputy Interior Minister, the Deputy Minister for Urban Development and Transport, the head of the National Iranian Oil Company, the Special Representative of Iran’s Minister of Agriculture, and other senior officials.
During his stay, Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni is scheduled to hold meetings with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi. His meeting with Field Marshal Asim Munir is expected to be of particular significance.
Minister Momeni, who has played an active role in diplomatic negotiations, is expected to discuss bilateral cooperation, border management, security coordination, trade, and regional developments during his engagements in Pakistan.
